Healing the You That Didn't Know Yet
"You should know better" is a common phrase we use when someone doesn't act the way they "should". Whether we're saying it to children, teens, or other adults. But, as people, we don't just instantly know the rules and ways of the world when we're at a certain age. Everything we know is taught to us. So, if those raising us don't know better, how are we supposed to? More often than not, we learn through trial and error. We grow, we learn, and we teach the next generation to be better. It's ok to give yourself grace for what you didn't know then. This post is about how to give yourself that grace and to move forward.
